Video: How To Know When Prospects Are Ready
Randy Shattuck·11 May 2016·Customer Engagement
...Use These Guidelines:I talk to professional service firm leaders almost daily. They routinely ask me for my advice about when they should engage prospects in dialogue. This can be a real conundrum. Talk to them too early and they ignore you. Talk to them too late and you miss opportunities. Knowing when to engage in dialogue is challenging. But there is often an even bigger challenge - knowing who to talk to. For business development and sales people, these two questions are of paramount importance: who and when? Read More...

It provided insight in how the impact of computerisation, digitalisation and automation affects the Australian future workforce. Even though this report is Australian focussed, the report represents the shift in the global future workforce. Careers in Cyber Security and Professional Development Planning
Terry Neal·10 May 2016·Cyber Security
...As someone who has been directly involved in cyber security training for the last decade, when running workshops at cyber camps or speaking at conferences, I am always surprised when I ask the same question “who in the room has a high quality professional development plan”, and not a single hand is raised. The fact is that people do not have a good overview of the industry or even knowledge of the wide range of job roles that are available in both the public and private sectors. Read More...

The DMP: Determining Marketer ROI – Use Cases
Miles Pritchard·3 May 2016·Customer Engagement
...Don’t let your silver bullet turn into a white elephant  DMP’s are sophisticated technology platforms, housing a multitude of potential outputs and use cases. There are so many possibilities with the DMP that it can become confusing and difficult to execute upon a single and well defined strategy, as different teams focus on different platform features, outputs, and value propositions. What Makes a Good Analyst?
Kevin Gray·3 May 2016·Data & Analytics
...All analysts are not alike.  So how do you spot a good one?Dictionary.com defines Analyst succinctly as "A person who analyzes or who is skilled in analysis." For me, a good analyst is able to separate the signal from the noise, and also knows what kinds of signals to look for as well as where, when, how and why to look for them.  It's more than number-crunching, as one can have excellent math and computer programming skills and still be a lousy analyst.  It does require critical thinking, which Dictionary.com defines as "Disciplined thinking that is clear, rational, open-minded, and informed by evidence."  Without doubt, critical thinking is necessary in order to be a good analyst but particular skills and experience are also required.   Read More...

Derek Miers·3 May 2016·Strategy & Innovation
...This paper explores the Innovation Dimension of our Broad Transformational Framework. We’ve already set out the types of changes that we exclude from this framework. The next post will investigate how to work on the Organizational Culture, Purpose and People Dimension, with a similar piece in the works for the Technology Depth Dimension. We then get into the playbook—how firms should use the framework to design their own programs that navigate the Journey of Change. Read More...

Are you trapped or moving up in the Digital Maturity Value Chain?
Sushant Ajmani·27 April 2016·Delivery
...Every online enterprise in today's ecosystem wants to evolve or accelerate from its current state, and a small % of these enterprises have a clear path or roadmap in place with measurable checkponts.  This gives them a confidence and opportunity to benchmark against their immediate competitors in the same vertical, and get the feeling of being matured and evolved in this ecosystem.  However, a large % of enterprises are still trapped in their maturity journey and don't have a clear direction in terms of, where they are heading, what they should be striving for, and what kind of tactical roadmap they need to put in place to make their maturity journey comfortable, consistently moving and measurable. Strategy without execution = useless. Execution without strategy = mess. How do you align them?
Ted Bauer·21 April 2016·Strategy & Innovation
...I've had a bunch of different jobs, and I'll be honest: by this point, about 13 years into working, I oftentimes have no idea what strategy even is. I know that senior leaders of companies typically have a couple of big meetings ("off-sites") per year and they hammer out some "go-to-market" strategies and the like -- although those are often created in a vacuum, away from the people who actually have to execute on the ideas -- but at most jobs, daily tasks seem to matter way more than any concept of strategy, even for senior executives. ...This morning, I was walking to therapy (2.4 miles, because I like to get those steps in) and I listened to Hubspot's Growth Show podcast with Jon Wolske of Zappos. If you're unfamiliar with Zappos from an organizational culture perspective, it's one of the big names always thrown into those discussions about 'having a good culture' -- although holacracy, which is a management style most closely associated with them, has some pros and cons for sure. (If you're unfamiliar with holacracy, it's essentially the removal of managers so that the actual work take precedence.)
