MR Realities – “Social Media: Promises, Challenges and the Future”

Everyone talks about Social Media, but there are many questions about what it can actually do for marketers. MR Realities is series of podcasts in which Dave McCaughan and I discuss a wide range of topics important to marketing researchers with special guests.  We ask our guests questions you would want to ask, the way you would ask them, not just what we’re interested in.  And, we let our guests speak for themselves even when we disagree.

To help us come to get our heads around Social Media, we’ve invited a true authority in the field, Professor Raoul K├╝bler, to join us in this installment of MR Realities.  Raoul is an expert in advertising and corporate communication, not just a blogger with an opinion.  He develops and uses content analysis algorithms to determine the impact of different communication approaches on marketing metrics such as brand equity, sales, and market share.

The results of his research help managers to design better and more effective communication. His research focuses on a wide range of corporate communication activities such as traditional advertising, product placement, crisis communication and product recalls.
