About Ed Morrison
Ed Morrison, a co-author of the book “Strategic Doing – Ten Skills for Agile Leadership,” draws on over 25 years of experience in developing new, network-based models for strategy within open, loosely connected networks. His work emphasizes the strategic importance of focused collaboration and innovation in today’s global economy.
Morrison is the pioneer behind Strategic Doing, a discipline designed to accelerate collaborations, now widely adopted in the U.S. and gaining international recognition. He continues to advance this discipline through Agile Strategy Labs at the University of North Alabama, the University of Puerto Rico, and Purdue University.
Before his focus on Strategic Doing, Morrison worked at Telesis, a corporate strategy consulting firm, where he contributed to consulting projects for major clients like Ford Motor Company, Volvo, and General Electric. His early career in Washington, D.C., included roles as a legislative assistant to an Ohio Congressman, staff attorney at the Federal Trade Commission, and staff counsel in the U.S. Senate. Morrison holds a B.A. degree cum laude with honors in African Studies from Yale University, as well as M.B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Virginia.
