About Ann Longley

An award winning brand strategist and digital leader, I have worked across continents and sectors designing and delivering cutting-edge products, services and campaigns modernising brands and future proofing organisations.

Key achievements include leading on digital transformation at the Disasters Emergency Committee, as part of the Executive Team, and as a consultant focusing new product development and agile service design: ‘what would the DEC look like if it was created in 2017’?

Previously, as Group Head of Social Media with Hays, plc, I established
– a best practice communications planning process deployed across 33 countries
– devised The Viewpoint, Hays global corporate blogging and content publishing platform
– managed the delivery of an ambitious LinkedIn community management programme

Whilst with MEC UK (now Wavemaker), I built the agency’s social offer delivering a wide range of projects and always-on communications programmes to clients including Bourjois, Chanel, Colgate, Danone, Department of Health, Homeserve, Lloyds Banking Group, Orange and United Biscuits. Previously as Planning Director with experience design agency View, I worked with clients including GSK, Rio Tinto, Scottish Power and Cadbury Schweppes leading in audience insight, user-centred design and digital strategy.

My passion is creating digital opportunities enhancing stakeholder engagement and business performance. Innovation through collaboration with customers, colleagues and partners is now a key focus through my work with Something New Together (SNT) clients.
