Sr Director – Cyber Security, Privacy & Security Governance in , WI at GE | Imagination at Work

Role Summary:
The Sr Director – Cyber Security, Privacy & Security Governance will drive a clear, efficient and effective information and technology governance function for GE Healthcare Services and Commercial Operations. Design, implement and operationalize policy, standards and processes mitigating risk while optimizing business value and industry differentiation.

Essential Responsibilities:
As a leader who enjoys solving complex issues and collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders, you will be accountable for driving the successful implementation of an innovative and effective privacy and security governance program.
In this role, you will:

  • Lead global team of Privacy and Security Governance professionals to set standards and processes to mitigate information and technology risks for GEHC and our customers.
  • Leadership role responsible for the selection, development, coaching, performance management and compensation administration for direct staff. Lead solution planning and estimating of programs and projects; manages budgets and contracts.
  • Establish and maintain a Governance framework for all GE Healthcare businesses and regions addressing regulatory, industry and contractual obligations.
  • Establish primary oversight objectives and goals for information and technology governance by building strategic alignment, performance management, value delivery and risk management capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain standard processes for evaluating business and customer risks supporting the GEHC Global Cyber & Privacy Management System.
  • Maintain documentation for all programs and establish clear SOPs
  • Partner with key industry peers to conduct benchmarking exercises to provide perspective on GEHC’s maturity and to proactively implement best practices.
  • Evaluate and communicate Security & Privacy risks and solutions to Business leadership.
  • Maintain metrics, reporting and tracking program to ensure processes working as designed and risks are being tracked.
  • Align with cross functional teams to define & implement data protection and governance processes and technologies.
  • Work as a business partner with GEHC Risk Leaders and end users to evaluate /improve business processes, and arrive at mutual, budget-conscious, solutions; act as a change agent for business processes.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology,
    Engineering and Math)
  • A minimum of 15 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across technical domains.
  • GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
  • Must be willing to travel 15-25%
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Milwaukee, WI; Chicago, IL; Detroit, MI; Beijing, China; Bangalore, India; Hino, Japan; Remote Location

  • Experience with project management and execution of multiple simultaneous and / or large projects.
  • Agile, Fastworks, LEAN or Six Sigma experience.
    Technical Expertise:
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a security service across a matrixed environment
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment
  • Experience with various industry regulations and frameworks (PCI, HIPAA, FDA, Data Privacy Laws, ISO27001, COBIT, NIST, etc.)
  • Ability to take input from multiple stakeholders, complex business and technical requirements, quickly determine the appropriate security solution and then drive the outcome
  • Creative problem solver with strong analytical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills – Able to communicate appropriately to both technical and management audiences
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recognized IT Security-related standards and technologies
  • Experience in large global environments spanning multiple time-zones
